Matthew Tague
Manager/Sales Mechanic

Matthew was born and raised on the east coast and found cycling through the sport of triathlon. It was during a training camp in Santa Barbara that his life truly changed. While halfway up Gibraltar Road, one of the most iconic climbs in the United States, he decided to find a way to make Santa Barbara home! Over 10 years later he is still in love with that road.

Matthew's experience spans from multi-sport to road racing to ultra-endurance events like Race Across the West. As manager of Hazard's Cyclesport, Matthew is tasked with shepherding this iconic 100+ year old business while making sure the team stays true to the age-old tenets of Hazard's. Treat everyone the same, take care of the community,, and keep people pedaling.

Stefan Paszke
Lead Service Technician / Wheel Builder

Born and raised in Santa Barbara, Stef started at Hazard’s Cyclesport in 1989 while still in High School and continued working there through 1997 when he then moved to San Francisco. While in SF he worked in and managed the Service Departments at some of the Bay Areas best bike shops.  Known for his accurate mechanical work, knowledge of bikes new and old, as well as his wheel building skills, Stef has gained a loyal following over the years ranging from the cycling enthusiast to the expert / professional rider.

Fast forward to 2021 he moved back to his hometown of Santa Barbara and rejoined the Hazard’s Cyclesport team heading up their Service Department.

Daniel Barcelo
Supervisor/Key Holder

Daniel has been working with Hazard's Cyclesport since July of 2020. Originally from Michigan, Daniel has traveled across more than 20 states by bicycle!

Daniel calls Santa Barbara his home and loves it because of the endless perfect roads, Alpine style climbs, and too good to be true weather. Cycling aside he is also an Indiana state certified firefighter and somewhat of a home chef!

Brianna White
Retail Support Specialist

Brianna has been working here at Hazards for almost 2 years now. She enjoys mountain biking the most but prefers to ride a gravel bike for the everyday versatility as a commuter.

Brianna is 21 years old and a 5th year Communication and Black Studies double major at the University of California, Santa Barbara. When she's not at work or school Brianna usually enjoys the outdoors; hiking, camping, biking, etc.

Tyler O' Neal
Mechanic

Tyler is a Bay Area native, but has been in Santa Barbara for several years now. Tyler has been an avid cyclist since 14 when he joined the NICA league racing cross country. He eventually rode for a Specialized Devo team, Whole Athlete, traveling across the US riding and racing. This both built and fueled the passion that brought him to Hazards as a mechanic.

When he’s not wrenching at the shop he’s riding in the Santa Barbara mountains, climbing Gibraltar or riding the ridge. Doing wheelies into sunsets.

Anna Bagozzi
Cycling Specialist

Anna recently moved to Santa Barbara after a year in Silicon Valley and  has lived in quite a few places. Though, she considers the bay and back east her homes.

She enjoys road riding and tinkering around on her fixed gears. When Anna isn't riding she spends her time sewing and designing, and likes creating all things fashion/apparel/accessories in cycling and beyond.
